Goal Analytics — App Features Overview

Goal Analytics is a football statistics app built for fans who want to go beyond the scoreline. Every number in the app is grounded in real match data, explained in plain English, and updated automatically so you're always looking at current form — not last season's averages.

    Pre-Match Statistics

Before every upcoming fixture, the app shows a full statistical breakdown built from each team's last 9 competitive matches. Rather than treating all games equally, the sample is weighted by role: for the home side, six home fixtures and three away fixtures are used; for the away side, the reverse applies. This reflects the reality that teams perform differently at home and away. For neutral-venue tournaments — World Cup, Euros, Copa América, Nations League, Africa Cup of Nations, Gold Cup and the Olympics — both teams are assessed on their last 9 matches regardless of venue, since home advantage doesn't apply.

The stats shown for each fixture include:

    • Goal markets — probability of Over 0.5 goals at half-time, Over 1.5 and 2.5 at full-time, and more
    • Both Teams to Score (BTTS) — how often both sides have found the net in recent games
    • Average goals scored and conceded per match for each team
    • Head-to-head history — Over 1.5 and 2.5 rates across the last five direct meetings
    • Goal probability by minute — a breakdown of when goals are most likely to arrive, split into 10-minute windows across the full 90
    • Corner statistics — expected corners for each team and the probability of Over 9.5 corners in the match
    • Win probabilities — model-derived chances of a home win, draw, or away win, shown as percentages

All of this is combined into a plain-English Match Preview — a short paragraph that summarises both teams' recent form, the key combined indicators, head-to-head context, and the model's win probability. No jargon, no charts to decode.

    Live Match Tracking

During a game, the app shows real-time statistics including possession, total shots, shots on goal, shots inside and outside the box, corner kicks, fouls, yellow and red cards, goalkeeper saves, and passing accuracy. Everything updates live as the match progresses.

    Best Picks

Three dedicated screens surface today's matches that show the strongest statistical signal for a specific market:

These are ranked by model confidence, not just by a single percentage, so you see the fixtures where multiple indicators align.

    Next Goal Probabilities

A live-updated view of in-progress matches showing which games have the highest statistical likelihood of a goal arriving in the next few minutes. Useful for following several games at once and knowing where to focus.

    Player Rankings

A form table that ranks players by their performance across their last 9 competitive matches, grouped by position (Forwards, Midfielders, Defenders, Goalkeepers) and by league.

Each player's ranking is built from per-match averages — goals, assists, shots, passes, tackles, dribbles, duels won, and more — weighted by position. Defenders are scored heavily on tackles and interceptions; forwards on goals, assists and shots; midfielders on passing and key passes; goalkeepers on saves and goals conceded. The result is a single composite score that is only comparable within the same position group.

Every player also shows their last-9 average rating alongside their full-season average rating, and the difference between them (the “Diff” column, colour-coded green for players in better form than their season baseline and red for those below it). This makes it easy to spot who is peaking right now versus who is going through a rough patch.

Players need at least 3 appearances in the 9-match window to be ranked — anyone below that threshold is excluded, which prevents a player with one standout game skewing the list. See the full Fantasy Rankings guide for a deeper breakdown of how the composite score is calculated.

    Prediction Accuracy

A transparency screen that tracks how the app's predictions have performed over time. You can see the historical hit rate for each market (Over 0.5 HT, Over 1.5 FT, Over 2.5 FT) so you always know the track record behind the numbers.

    Custom Filters

The custom filters tool lets you build your own queries across the full dataset, combining any stats thresholds you choose — available to every user, free or premium.

    Premium

The premium tier removes all advertising for an uninterrupted experience. It doesn't gate any statistics or features — everything described above is available on the free tier too.

Goal Analytics is available on Android. All statistics are for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute betting or financial advice.
